The Human Resources Director role will also involve further developing and overseeing IPHI’s personnel policies and practices and ensuring that IPHI is conducting personnel business based on best practices and legal requirements and has optimal HR capacity for a thriving workforce and organization.
In the near-term, the Human Resources Director will play a central role in managing human resources activities during the final phase of pandemic response deployments. During this next phase, IPHI is expected to have approximately 80-100 staff. As the large-scale pandemic response activities wind down and IPHI settles into its next phase of organizational development, the Human Resources Director with guide IPHI’s talent strategy to ensure that IPHI continues to recruit, retain and support the best and brightest public health professionals in the region. IPHI also experienced rapid internal growth, with the internal staff team more than doubling in size in the past 12 months. This has included recruiting, employing, training and supporting over 1,200 public health workers deployed to partner organizations. The Human Resource Director is a senior-level management position reporting directly to the President & CEO.įor the past two years, among other activities, IPHI has been engaged in large-scale workforce development and deployment activities to assist state and local health departments and community-based organizations respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
